Growing & Learning Together
By: Ashley Worley, PHN, MPH, Health Initiative Manager, Stanislaus County Health Services Agency
Partnership is essential to creating sustainable, community-driven solutions. Through our collaboration with the East Stanislaus Resource Conservation District, Stanislaus County Health Services Agency has been able to connect nutrition education, environmental stewardship, and family engagement in lasting ways.
Our current CFHL sustainability work builds on this partnership by supporting Head Start and community gardens as hands-on learning spaces for children and families. ESRCD’s expertise in garden maintenance, workforce development, and community engagement helps ensure these gardens remain vibrant and accessible beyond a single funding cycle. Together, we are strengthening systems that support healthy food access, learning, and long-term community well-being.
We’re thankful for our ongoing work with Stanislaus County Health Services Agency and their commitment to community health, education, and access to healthy food. To learn more about Stanislaus County Health Services Agency, visit schsa.org.
