Preserving Our Resources Since 1996.

The East Stanislaus RCD provides local resource conservation for more than 984 square miles east of the San Joaquin River.

Our Mission

“The ESRCD supports Stanislaus County residents and farmers by providing education and resources to improve the overall health of our communities, our natural systems and agricultural legacy.”

Agriculture

We work with farmers, ranchers and landowners, providing technical and financial assistance for conservation practices.

Community

We strive to engage and educate our community about preserving our natural resources!

Water

Our watershed is very important. The RCD works to keep our water clean for all who use it.

Research & Restoration

The ESRCD helps to protect local wildlife and create environments where they can thrive!

What does it mean to conserve?

Check out this video series from Western SARE that highlights some of the common conservation practices that farmers and ranchers use to improve profitability, quality of life and environmental stewardship. Learn more at https://www.sare.org/resources/what-i…. “A Whole-Farm Approach to Sustainability” provides a short, animated outline of basic principles that can be used to introduce or complement more detailed training materials.

What is Sustainable Agriculture?

Our Farm to School Toolkit is now LIVE!

The Farm to School Toolkit was created with help from our network of programs, services, and partners all dedicated to bringing more fresh, locally grown produce to schools in Stanislaus County and to educate our youth about the bounty of food grown right here in the Central Valley. Whether you are a Farmer, Food Service Professional, Educator, or Administrator, our toolkit will help you make the connections you need to bring local food to Stanislaus County youth.
