Providing access to healthy fresh foods in our communities that need it most!

Check out the Food Access Guide for Stanislaus County! It lists Food Pantries, Meal Services, etc in each city.

The Farm to Pantry Program was created to address food insecurity while providing local, fresh, produce to those who need it most in Stanislaus County. After many conversations with food pantries and food banks in Stanislaus County, we have identified a need for produce rather than dry and canned goods.

Food insecurity is defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life. We at ESRCD believe that everyone should have equal access to fresh food.

According to feedingamerica.org, there are 67,100 people, 12.4 % Adults and 26,790 people, 18.2 % Children who are food insecure here in Stanislaus County.  (https://map.feedingamerica.org/county/2018/overall/california).

In order to take action on this staggering statistic, the ESRCD has teamed up with The Health Services Agency of Stanislaus County to:
-create a food access guide
-increase donations of fresh produce from Stanislaus County Farmers to the food banks and pantries in Stanislaus County.

To find food pantries near you, click the green buttons on this page or check out ampleharvest.org.
