The Stanislaus River Cleanup!
The ESRCD and City of Oakdale are hosting a Stanislaus River Cleanup! The River Cleanup is a partnership with the City of Oakdale and the California Coastal Commission in an effort to remove garbage from all of California’s waterways, and is the largest volunteer event in the state.
In past years, over 100 volunteers cleaned up three locations along the Stanislaus River and removed close to 1,500 pounds of trash and recyclables. The event provides a great opportunity for all involved to learn about California’s water sources and positively contribute to a vital part of our environment.
