SUMMARY:Walk with a Restorationist at Caswell Memorial State Park
DESCRIPTION:Spend time outside and take a closer look at Caswell State Park\, one of the last remaining and most extensive examples of riparian woodland in the Central Valley. \nThis guided walk is led by ESRCD restoration staff and offers a chance to explore local habitat\, learn how restoration and conservation work is approached\, connect with others interested in this work\, and ask questions along the way. We’ll walk through an oak forest along the Stanislaus River\, observe native plants and wildlife\, and talk through what we’re seeing in real time as we move through the landscape. \nAlong the way\, we’ll identify plants\, birds\, and insects\, and discuss how restoration and conservation practices support these systems. \nEvent Details \nRegister & purchase tickets here www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/walk-with-a-restorationist \nTime: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM \nDistance: Approximately 1.5 miles on slightly uneven terrain \nLunch: Picnic lunch provided following the walk \nCost \n$30 per adult \n$15 per child (12 and under) \nFree for children 3 and under \n*Please note: Parking is $10 per vehicle\, paid directly to the park. \nYour ticket supports conservation and restoration work in Stanislaus County\, including improvements to our conservation easement and ongoing stewardship of local landscapes.
